Is anybody going to address the question? Personally, I have done many many crunches and found them to be not that great an ab exercise. Looney Tunes: Reality Check. I vote sit-ups also, v-ups are good laying on the floor with just your lower back touching heels about 6' above the floor and shoulders 6' above the floor as well. We take a fitness test every semester that consists of as many pull ups as you can, as many sit ups as you can in 2 minutes, and a mile and a half run. I believe the record for sit ups is in the 110-120 range, so 1 per second is doable. I would say crunches are much more effective for your abs because during the run, my quadriceps are always sore.
My abs typically don't start hurting till the next day, and not to the same extent. Therefore I gather that sit ups stress your quads and hip flexors at least as much as your abs. • • Bitch Tits • • RE: CRUNCHES or SIT-UPS 8:44AM - in reply to • Bitch Tits •.
