Specs: Asus P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 Cpu i5 2500k gpu: 6850 psu: 600W case corsair 300R Hi I recently build a new computer and I am having problems connecting external USB speakers into the system. I have got the latest drivers for my motherboard and it still wont work. I have tried different speakers on the same build and still no sound. It seems to recognise the HD audio but I get no sound through the speakers. When I plug the speakers in they light up like they are on but no sound comes through them. WIndows does not recognise that a new USB device has been detected.
Its really annoying help would be much appreciated Thanks. Do other usb devices work.it could be that the when you built the system you hooked up the connections to the usb headers wrong.. Yes every other usb port works fine no matter what I put in it except the speakers. The speakers defiantly work because they light up once I plug them in. Windows just does not recognise them at all. I just really hope its not a hardware issue.
Could it be something to do with my graphics card? Which is a 6850 when I go into control panel to check the speakers its showing that I am connected to HDMI realteck audio, it does not give me an option to switch to speakers its grayed out.
