Windows Vista has 6 editions in its product lineup: 3 for consumers and public retail – Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista.
Nov 01, 2010 I was surpised to learn that one of the products from my Microsoft Action pack does not permit me to upgrade the Windows Vista Enterpise to Windows 7 Ultimate. Comparing Vista versions. Each version is unlocked by the correct key. 3) ALL one needs to do to unlock his purchased version is enter the correct key for it.

Vista Enterprise is NOT on the Ultimate DVD. I can't tell you what the difference in the bits is, only that they are different. You cannot install Vista Enterprise with anything but the Vista Enterprise DVD's. I know this doesn't answer the question of if a copy of Enterprise can be upgraded with Ultimate.
