I know Bethesda definitely won't be releasing a patch. I've googled this problem more than I've googled anything before and I just decided to finally make a post about it. Is there any way to stop fallout 3 GOTY from crashing so much on the PS3? I've tried pretty much every fix I've found online and I don't notice any difference. Associated Research 7704 Manual. I know there's probably not going to be a fix but I'd rather not give up.

Does anybody have any suggestions? Also, the thing I see people talk about a lot is the fact that the PS3 can't handle save files over 50MB (I think? Or around that area) and FO3 save files do get big. Is this true? There really is no fix other than to save only in necessary situations or after a huge event or significant progress.

Each time you save, your save file increases about 100kb, more or less. This is based on your progress, what you've completed, the items you have, your perks, all of it. There's no way to decrease the file size. I save & explore a lot and at 80 hours of gameplay (about 43% platinum trophy completion) My save file is about 8.5MB. I have crashed probably about 5 times overall and I've read of broken games (massive framerate drops and constant crashing) at the 18MB save file size. You can create more and more save files but the size carries onto the new save file.

Edit: TL;DR: Save as little as possible, but still save before big events and after big quests. On the PC i'd quick save before every lockpicking, hack attempt or corner turn. That'd kill me on PS3. I take more risks on the PS3 version. I'm the same as you. I play for as long as i can without saving, start wondering if I should save, decide not to save, then the game freezes up. Sometimes it gives me little indicators that it's going to freeze.

Sometimes the radio will repeat the same segment over and over again. Sometimes the radio turns to loud static for a few seconds, stops, then the game freezes. I will try to save as little as possible from now on. Obviously I shall still use my common sense, so I don't lose too much progress.

Hey Folks, its really going to be tedious to download all this stuff and now I wonder if its worth the effort. • Does this Language Pack work on our Steam Versions? • Will it translate every audio and subtitle/Menu-File? • How do I install it?

• I read something about an Uncut Patch. Will this work with Steam Versions too?

• Will the Steam Version run with Windows 10? I saw it working smoothly on Windows 8.1, but the PC Owner said there were some fixes necessary. I hope you can help me. I really want to enjoy this great game.
