Disable Malicious Software Removal Tool Updates Microsoft

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (MRT) - disable it from installing. It is an app that Microsoft redistributes via the Windows Update service.
Sorry in advance if this topic has been asked and answered, but I can't find it. If so, please direct me to the posting. I can't find a definitive answer on whether one should or shouldn't disable the 'enabled by default' Windows Defender on our servers? We are running an Enterprise version of one of the good business class AntiVirus software programs.
Do we need Defender? I can't really find an answer on Google through multiple searches.

In win 8.x IIRC, it will be disabled if you install an AV, because Defender in 8. The Sims 3 World Adventures Nzb. x is what used to be Microsoft Security Essentials, an antivrus product. In Windows 7, Defender is an anti-malware product. We are all Windows 7 and I leave it enabled to run alongside our AV. It has not caused any issues. Edit: Just re-read.
'servers' What Server version are you running? I was not aware that Defender ran on Windows Server. At least, I have never ran it on a server. Ok, I neglected to add: 'And, what's up with the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool?'
Also found on our servers. Do we need this if we already have a good, solid AV program running?? We have a variety of Server 2008 standard, 2008 R2, and 2012.
